Mark Jeffers has decades of experience as a storyteller, teacher, and performer. He founded Storybook Theatre to bring stories to life for young audiences. Uncle Mark uses expressive voice, gentle humor, poetry, and sign-mime to engage children. He has shared stories with tens of thousands of children across Hawaii, creating sessions that are interactive, memorable, and educational.

This Season of Storytelling Programs Told and Retold by Uncle Mark Jeffers

Uncle Mark brings stories to life for preschool through early elementary students in lively interactive sessions lasting thirty to forty-five minutes. Children don’t just listen. They move, sing, and participate using props, puppets, and imaginative play. Stories include cultural legends, classic fables, and original tales that spark curiosity and creativity.

Stories are available for performances at your school or on classroom visits to Koke'e State Park on Kaua`i. Mr. Jeffers is also available for evening events or visits to your home, theatre, church, or library in your community. Programs are flexible and designed to fit your classroom schedule.

Pricing and Extras:
Performances range from $50 to $300, terms are negotiable. Curriculum materials are available upon request. Russell the Rooster puppet or inflatables can make an appearance for an additional fee.
