Why volunteer at Storybook Theatre of Hawaii?

  3. You will dig deep into the cultural values of the people of Hawaii.

  4. Your time will be appreciated as you develop valuable, transferable skills.

The following volunteer positions are available at Storybook Theatre:

  • Part-time Assistant Docents in Storybook’s Heritage Media Center, where there are four cultural exhibit areas and a children’s activity area.

  • Part-time Interns in Storybook’s multimedia production studio. Be a production team member creating & broadcasting video media.

  • Occasional Workday Helpers in Storybook’s International Peace Garden and Kokee Community Arts Camp.

These volunteer positions involve learning new skills and communicating with co-workers and staff. Passion and positivity are the only requirements. All ages, 15 years and above are welcome to apply for these part time positions. Storybook staff and trustees also encourage parents to volunteer with their children on site. Parents of children in 4th grade and above are welcome to apply. Part-time positions are a 3 month renewable commitment with potential High School & College credits available.

Volunteer Application for Heritage Media Center

Commitment is for once per week for 3 month time period. Summers are available.

Parents and Students are encouraged to volunteer together as a way to learn about the heritage of West Kauai and the legacy of Hawaiian culture.
