Heritage Media Center

Discover Kauaʻi Through Stories, Exhibits, and Interactive Media

The Heritage Media Center (HMC) at Storybook Theatre is a creative hub where history, storytelling, and media come alive. Located in Hanapēpē, the center celebrates the diverse cultures that shaped West Kaua‘i and inspires new generations to share their own stories.

Visitors can explore interactive exhibits, watch short films, and hear oral histories that highlight the cooperative spirit of Kaua‘i’s multicultural communities. Families, schools, and community groups are invited to experience the island’s past firsthand and see how it continues to inspire peace, connection, and creativity today.
