A Traveling Classroom of Wonder
Step inside the ocean and let imagination lead the way.
Storybook Theatre’s Marine Eco Tour brings marine science to life through storytelling, music, and hands-on exploration. Students can step inside life-size inflatable sea creatures such as humpback whales, tiger sharks, monk seals, and sea turtles while learning real science in a fun and memorable way.
This traveling, standards aligned program helps children understand ocean ecosystems, migration, and conservation through interactive play and guided discovery. Students observe, ask questions, share ideas, and build empathy for the natural world.
Through touching, singing, moving, and imagining, children connect deeply with the ocean and leave inspired to care for it. The Marine Eco Tour blends creativity and science to spark curiosity, support classroom learning, and encourage environmental stewardship.
Hands-On Learning That Inspires
The Marine Eco Tour doesn’t just entertain, it deepens understanding, sparks curiosity, and strengthens learning. Over 25 years, thousands of students across Hawai’i and the Pacific have engaged with ocean science, conservation, and cultural storytelling in ways that teachers say are memorable, meaningful, and inspiring.

Critical thinking and discussion: children ask questions, share observations, and connect lessons to real-world ocean issues
Extended learning opportunities: activity sheets, coloring books, and guided discussions help teachers reinforce concepts after the visit
Proven impact: 100+ school performances annually, reaching thousands of students, with teachers reporting increased engagement and enthusiasm for science
