STH’s Spring Film Fest – “Warrior Poet”

 

The Storybook Theatre’s Spring Film Fest presents to you our latest documentary movie called “Warrior Poet”. This film stars a nationally renown storyteller Alton Takiyama-Chung. The film takes you on all the way back to when Sparky Masayuki Matsunaga was just a “Hanapepe boy” until he passes away in 1990. You’ll see historical video footage, great pictures and hear poetry and stories that will take you back to the good old days.

Corona Virus Tips!

Talking to your Child(ren) about the Corona Virus can be hard to explain. Here are a few ways or tips that can help. We are all still learning about this virus so, its best not to be scared. Practicing good hygiene and cleaning up after playing is garret way to be safe and have fun as a family.

 

 

 

Tour Statement!

Marine Eco Tour Mahalo

 

We would like to give a big Mahalo to all the school that made tho years Marine Eco Tour a great success. We did 39 classes on 4 different islands. They were amazing and super fun. Due to the recent outbreak we will be taking a break but we’ll return soon! 

Friday Nights At STH!

 
Friday night’s at the Storybook Theatre Hawaii we will be having  events for the whole family to enjoy! There will be art activities with aunty Caylin, Keiki Karaoke night, a surprise night and our live/ recording friday night show. The STH is starting to take off. Mark the dates that you guys won’t want to miss! Hope to see you guys there!

Spring Break Marine Debris Art Classes!

 

Aunty Caylin Spear is calling all Children ages 6 and up that would like to participate in a marine debris art class. The focus of the class will be making puppets and a new set for an upcoming Russell Da Rooster Show. The classes will be held at the Storybook Theatre of Hawaii on March 17th, 18th and 19th 2020 from 1;30 – 3:00pm each day.For more information please contact Caylin at 808-335-0712.

Spring Break Drama Classes!

 

Aloha! The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii will be holding Drama Classes in the Storybook Upstairs Classroom. For all youth ages 7-13. Personal Development thru Drama classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday March 17th, 18th and 19th from 3pm to 5pm. Production classes on March 24th, 25th and 26th. A YouTube Video Recording of the drama group will be held on Friday arch 27th. Classes will be thought by Uncle Mark Jeffers. Tuition arranged with instructor. A $10 donation is suggested per class. Family Enrichment Night – Girls Day Potluck!

The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii is teaming up with the Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church for a Family Enrichment Night – Girls Day Potluck! On March 3, 2020 staring at 4:30pm. We will have a special guest Aunty Kay Hill, who will be teaching Japanese Paper Doll making in honor of girls day. There will be a potluck dinner across the street at the Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church. We ask that each family bring a main dish, a side dish and or a dessert to share. There will also be more activities at the church for all to enjoy! We hope to see you guys there.

Storybook Theatre is having a work a on Feb.25 at 9am. We will be cleaning up inside of the building as well as in the garden. All and any type of help you would be willing to contribute is accepted and greatly appreciated! A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Hope to see you there!
