Phil is an Assistant Store Manager at Kauai’s Costco Store. He is also known island wide as the ‘Aloha Santa’, playing the role at dozens of Kauai events annually. For Storybook Theater Phil has contributed to the development of our children’s radio program series and is assisting in our product marketing plan for our media and logo products.

David is a COO for Pacific Recreation Corporation in Honolulu. He also serves on several non profit boards in Honolulu including the Moiliili Community Center and the Rotary Club of Waikiki. He has served on the Storybook Board for the past 27 engaging years he serves on our Endowment committee.

Kay is a retired elementary school teacher. She taught in schools in Germany for more than 25 years and retired back to her family home on Kauai. Kay serves on several non-profit boards on Kauai and has been recognized as an outstanding volunteer in our community. Her interests are photography and Kauai history and she has served Storybook for 18 years.

Paulette is a trained cultural interpreter and gift shop manager. She has worked at Koke’e Lodge and Koke’e Natural History Museum for more than 25 years guiding visitors to the State Park in their safe travel and enjoyment of the natural resources. She has contributed her knowledge and skills in hosting Storybook’s Friday Open House and gift shop development.

Gerald is a retired professor from Kauai Community College and is the President of the Kauai Soto Zen Temple in Hanapepe and the Hawaii Soto Mission Association. His interest in helping Storybook Theatre stems from his volunteering as an event coordinator for the International Day of Peace held annually in the Spark M. Matsunaga International Children’s Garden for Peace. He would like to assist Storybook in our production of events for the children and families in our community.

Rick is DOE substitute teacher and a business owner. He serves on the Boards of the West Kauai Little League and the Home Owners Association. His interests on the board are with developing programs that serve special needs children and to assist in the creation of our facilities to accommodate the visually impaired in Storybook activities.
All Trustees participate 100% in meetings, fundraising and with the planning and implementation of events, mail-outs, and other activities. Each contributes financially and with their time & materials towards our success.
