The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii is proud to present the 11th annual Princess Ka’iulani Celebration. The event has evolved into a celebration of Hawaiian culture and history that honors the life Princess Ka’iulani. This year’s event will be held in Historic Hanapepe Town, on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 from 11am-3pm and is FREE and open to the public.
The event will also feature performances by Joyful Noise Taiko Drumming, and original music written for Princess Ka’iulani by slack key master Paul Togioka and ono food will be available at the Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church food court. Attendees are invited to march in Princess Ka’iulani’s Children’s Costume Parade before attending the princess’s birthday party. Participants are encouraged to bring a recycled costume or come early to be fitted for available costumes.
